Sandusky Advocacy Priorities

  • Education-College and Career Readiness
Education is the key that unlocks the door from cycles of poverty to wealth, and from despair to prosperity. We must serve as the advocates for our children to ensure they are receiving a high-quality and meaningful education. Our students of color must graduate being college and career-ready, and prepared to become productive members of society.
  • Diversity in the Workplace
In 2019, we must work diligently to be represented in all areas in the workplace. Our local businesses, city government offices and community organizations should reflect the communities they serve. We must work to ensure we have access and opportunity.
  • Community Awareness about the NAACP
As the oldest and largest civil rights organization in the country, it is crucial that our community understands and supports the advocacy work of the NAACP. It is time to have honest and real dialogue about race relations, and how we can work collaboratively to make our world a better place. We are an inclusive organization that values the input and contributions of all, who are committed to working to support the vision and mission of the NAACP.
